After reading #Starstruck, I had high expectations with #Moonstruck, the second book in Sariah Wilson’s stand-alone #Lovestruck series. So with Sam from Fictionally Sam, we went on buddy reading journey that will eventually end up with our brains being thoroughly fucked within a different book.
I’m disappointed with #Moonstruck. 😥
I loved #Starstruck for the cute yet authentic romance throughout the book, along with a healthy relationship. While we get a healthy relationship in #Moonstruck, I found myself thoroughly disappointed with the sequel.
We’ve got a fake fake relationship, friends.
And by fake fake, I mean FAKE. It is a fake relationship involved between Ryan and Maisy, it felt fake as well for most of #Moonstruck. And then boom, they’re together, real and true. I feel like I missed something happening because I would have brought a platonic relationship over the relationship here.
Actually, I don’t even think I noticed they had a relationship until the end of the book.
There are some cute and hilarious moments, though.
#Moonstruck is fun to read, regardless. Despite the relationship feeling as fake as my current relationship (which is none at all), I enjoyed reading the sequel a little. I loved reading the interactions between the different characters and they were nicely done, but they weren’t enough for me to buy the romantic relationship.
We’re not going down with this ship.

Well, this is a lot different from your review of the previous book *sad face* I am glad there were some fun moments, bu the actual romance is a pretty important part of a romance book. Sorry it didn’t work for you.
